Hyunseung Ryu

Hi, I'm Hyunseung Ryu. I graduated from Gwangju Science Academy for the Gifted (GSA), and I'm currently double-majoring in EECS and AI at GIST. I'm drawn to mathematics, physics, astronomy, and theoretical science more broadly — especially to those moments when the same laws that describe the physical world turn out to hold just as true inside the discrete world of a computer. That, to me, is real beauty. Studying an idea until I've fully internalized it, then working it out as a simulation, is what I love most.

Since starting college, I've picked up frontend and backend development, app development, and design — none of which I'd touched before — and can now work comfortably across all of them. Along the way, I discovered the satisfaction of turning code and design into something that actually helps someone, and that discovery gave me a new sense of direction.

I'm the type of person who, once a concept catches my interest, digs into it until I've had my fill. And I don't feel like something is truly mine until I've rebuilt it myself, with my own hands. That's true whether I'm doing research, studying, developing, or designing — it's the same drive that keeps pushing me forward. What I hope for is that something I've built with that drive will one day find its way into someone's everyday life, spark a small inspiration, and grow into something that changes things for the better.
